Principal School of Real Estate Policies
Course Administration
The following policies govern all courses offered by Principal School of Real Estate. No oral or written representation by staff or instructors will supersede these official policies.
Tuition, Refund, and Cancellation Policy
General Tuition Policy
- All payments made to Principal School of Real Estate are non-refundable.
- Students have up to two weeks prior to their course start date to request a change to a different course date. Any date change is subject to the school’s approval based on availability. If a date change cannot be accommodated, the payment remains non-refundable.
Livestream and Classroom Courses
- Refunds are not available for students who do not attend their scheduled class or complete their course.
- If the pre-license certification expires, the student must pay for and retake the course in full to regain eligibility.
- Students who miss 8 or more hours of a classroom course are required to repeat the entire course. No exceptions will be made.
Streaming Courses
- Online courses are also non-refundable, and access will remain valid for one year from the purchase date. If the course is not completed within the allotted time, students must re-enroll and pay the full tuition again.
Materials and Shipping
- Course tuition includes one set of materials (e.g., textbooks or manuals). Principal School of Real Estate is not responsible for the failure of shipped materials to reach their destination. Additional fees will apply for replacement materials or reshipping.
General Policies
Discounts and Promotions
- Discounts or referral promotions require pre-registration and full payment at least 24 hours before class starts.
- Discounts cannot be applied retroactively or combined with other offers.
Returned Checks
- A $30 fee applies for checks returned by a bank. Students are responsible for ensuring full payment.
Tuition Validity
- Tuition applies only to the program for which the student registered and is valid for a specific time period:
- Real Estate Pre-license (classroom): 2 years.
- Real Estate Pre-license (online): 1 year.
- Contractor Continuing Education (online): 1 year.
- Contractor Cram Courses: Only for the course registered.
- All other courses: 1 year.
Materials and Updates
- Students receive one set of course materials. If materials are updated, additional fees may apply for the new version.
- Replication, distribution, or any activity that allows sharing of any material provided to the student by Principal School of Real Estate is strictly prohibited.
Additional Policies
Retakes and Reviews (Real Estate and Appraisal Courses Only)
- Students failing an exam must wait 30 days or repeat the course before retesting.
- Review students may attend classes on a space-available basis but cannot participate in classroom discussions.
Weather-Related Cancellations
- Decisions about cancellations due to weather will be made on a case-by-case basis. Efforts will be made to reschedule promptly.
Classroom Etiquette
- Cell Phones: Must remain silent or off during class. Repeat offenders may be dismissed.
- Recording Devices: Not permitted in class.
- Smoking: Prohibited indoors; permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
- Classroom Environment: Dress appropriately for room temperatures, and maintain cleanliness.
- Behavior: Disruptive students may be dismissed without a refund.
Examinations
- Exams must be administered securely. Cheating will result in dismissal with no refund, and incidents may be reported to regulatory agencies.
Recruiting
- Recruiting for real estate brokerages is not allowed during instructional time, per state regulations.
Lost and Found
- Principal School is not responsible for lost or unattended items. Label belongings for identification.
Service Animals
- Only service animals as defined by the ADA are permitted. Emotional support animals are not classified as service animals under the ADA and are not allowed on premises.
Do-Not-Call Policy
Policy Overview
Principal School of Real Estate complies with all federal and state laws governing telephone communications and maintains a strict Do-Not-Call policy.
Procedures
- Do-Not-Call Lists: Numbers are scrubbed against federal and state registries.
- Exceptions: Calls may be made to individuals with an established business relationship or prior consent.
- Caller ID: Principal School does not block caller identification.
- Time Restrictions: Calls are made only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.
